Different Between House and Cave Nest

The term 'House nests' came about when human first discovered that swiftlets been building nests in their houses many many years ago. Since then, man began to build special houses to accommodate these swiftlets and it was a success. Thus, the name 'House Nest' is introduces.

Unlike Cave Nest, owners of these houses do not have to risk their life climbing treacherous caves to collect the nests. House owners also prevent predators from killing the swiftlets, thus providing a safe and suitable environment for these swiftlets.

In terms of nutrition contents, there are no differences between house and cave nests; the main difference is the cooking time needed for these nests.

As house nests are built under constant environment conditions and are not subjected to the fluctuation of temperature, the chemistry bonding of the proteins is not as tight as compared to cave nests. Therefore, a longer  period of time is needed to cook cave nest in order to break down the chemistry bonding.

Compared to Cave Nests, House nest is cleaner, softer and smoother in texture too.
